1➤ What is the total number of male candidates in the year 2014 from all cities? (1) 4.2 lakhs
(2) 3.47 lakhs
(3) 3.65 lakhs

=> Ans (2): 3.47 lakhs
Total number of male in 2014 = 45 ×1000 + 54 ×1500 + 48 ×2000 + 50 ×2500
= 45000 + 81000 + 96000 + 125000 = 347000 ⇒ 3.47 lakhs

2➤ Find the ratio of male candidates to that of the female candidates of city B in 2015.

Ratio of Male and Female = 50 : 45 ⇒ 10 : 9

3➤ What is the average number of transgender in the year 2013 from all cities?

Total = 5 ×1000 + 4 ×1500 + 4 ×2000 + 6 ×2500 = 5000 + 6000 + 8000 + 15000 = 34000
∴Average = 34000/4 = 8500
